This half-scale flight of metal stairs were designed and manufactured according to building code requirements. Aestheically inspired by the sleek simplicity of musical tuning forks, these stairs embrace the sleek lines enabled by industrial metal building materials. The musical tuning forks are designled to adhere to the building code. Their sizing was strictly determined by the maximum spacing dimensions of the “Baby Head Rule”, thereby restricting each of the openings of the balusters to a maximum of 2 3/16” at half-scale.
