We designed a concrete hyperbolic paraboloid, with special considerations for the aggregate, formwork and mix used in terms of color and texture. After numerous test samples, we were inspired by the addition of rustic, earthy red tones and the ability of fabric to transform a hard, solid material like concrete into something that “felt” soft, malleable and fluid.
